FAQ

What makes Athena different from virtual assistants?
Unlike virtual assistants and traditional staffing agencies, Athena partnerships provide security, training infrastructure, and long-term tenure. A traditional virtual assistant is narrow in scope. While a virtual assistant does tasks, an Athena EA integrates themselves into the full scope of your life to transform the way you work and live.
How does Athena select EAs?
We receive 30-60k monthly applications, of which only 1% are accepted. Every EA undergoes our rigorous vetting and evaluation process. We screen each candidate for soft skills and aptitude. Before becoming eligible to be partnered with you, they must take personality, cognitive, and English tests and undergo immersive training on real-world tasks, including calendar, travel, and inbox management.
What if the fit isn’t right?
On rare occasions, a partnership doesn't work out. If this happens, your Partnership Manager will address any concerns or performance issues and work to resolve them. We will partner you with a different Athena EA if things don't improve.
What measures are taken to ensure my security, privacy, and confidentiality?
Athena takes a proactive approach to security and compliance. We are SOC 2 certified, provision and manage all EA devices with enterprise-grade endpoint protection, and maintain dedicated InfoSec and IT teams to keep client data secure. Clients in regulated industries are welcome to discuss specific compliance requirements with their account team.
What does onboarding look like and how long will it take?
Our onboarding process is designed to give your Athena partnership the strongest start. It begins with an intake survey to understand your delegation habits, work style, and goals. This is followed by a 60-minute onboarding call where we'll create a personalized action plan.

You will then be matched with your Athena team: your Executive Assistant (EA) and supporting Partnership Manager. All clients will participate in a kickoff call with their Athena team and have ongoing access to our Delegation Training Library.

From onboarding through kickoff, expect the entire process to take one to two weeks.
